Dennis Friday, age 74, of Washington, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 in Mesa, Arizona.

Dennis Dale Friday was born July 21, 1941 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of D. Dale and Lucille (Findling) Friday. He graduated from Conrad High School in 1959 and later attended and graduated from Iowa State University in 1964. Dennis was united marriage to Sharon Cruthirds on May 15, 1964, in Davenport, Iowa.

Denny moved to Washington, Iowa, in 1978 where he worked for Perfex Manufacturing and later was an accountant for Modine Manufacturing until his retirement in 2008. Denny was an avid biker and rode RAGBRAI for 19 years. He enjoyed golfing and working on his 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser. Denny enjoyed traveling with his wife and especially enjoyed the time spent with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Friday of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Lori Hoover and husband Brian of Marshalltown, Iowa; son, Jay Friday and wife Tina of Mason City, Iowa; son, Chad Friday and wife Joelle of Denver, Colorado; son, Nathan Friday and wife Jami of Carbondale, Colorado; 6 grandchildren; and sister, Jerilyn Numelin of Clear Lake, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
