Delmar L. Romine, age 86, of Lone Tree formerly of Washington died Wednesday June 2, 2010 at Pioneer Park Assisted Living Center in Lone Tree following an extended illness.

Graveside services will be held 4:00 pm Saturday June 5, 2010 at the Conesville Cemetery in Conesville. Delmar was born on October 8, 1923 in Wellman, Iowa the son of John Lyle and Reita (Dill) Romine. He graduated from West Chester High School. Delmar was united in marriage to Patty (Pat) L. Stafford on December 21, 1946 in Jefferson City, Missouri. Delmar was a Veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Army as a Sergeant. Delmar worked for Fresh Waters Feed and Grain, R.L. Bonar Trucking and Walker Grain for many years. Delmar enjoyed auto racing, camping in Knoxville, and traveling, especially to Maggie Valley, North Carolina.

Delmar is survived by his daughter, Pam Pierson of Washington; son, Troy Romine of Oskaloosa; granddaughter, Regie Pierson of Lincoln, Nebraska; great granddaughter, Kassy Dorsey of Lincoln, Nebraska; and one sister, Charlene Peterson and husband Gary of Waverly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife in 2000.
