Debra Kay Batterson, age 61, of Washington, Iowa, walked to her heavenly home to be with her parents and friends on Friday, April 15, 2022.

Deb was born November 10, 1960, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Dale "Dude" and Virginia (Moothart) Batterson. Deb attended school in Washington, Iowa. She lived all of her life in Washington.

Deb worked at McCleery Cummings Calendar Factory and later worked for Goodwill Industries. She enjoyed visiting with her many friends, listening to the radio, and taking care of her cats. She was a nature lover and enjoyed the time she spent outdoors.

She is survived by her son, Spenser Fleming and fiancé Brittany Erickson of Washington, IA; granddaughter, Akira Erickson Batterson; six siblings: Nancy (Rick) Anderson of Portland, OR; Becky Ridley of Mission, TX; John Waters of Lancaster, CA; Connie (Tom) Wheelan of Washington, IA; Holly (Charles) Redeau of Portland, OR; Rhonda (Bub) Goodwin of Washington, IA; many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Brian Fort of Washington, IA.

Deb was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers-in-law, Jerry Ridley and Mark Goodwin.
