Deborah E. "Deb" Stufflebeam, age 48, of Washington, Iowa, died Monday, July 9, 2012 at the M.L. McCreedy Home in Washington after a short battle with cancer.
Celebration of life services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation will begin 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. Private family interment will take place at a later date. Deb was born June 26, 1964, in Centerville, Iowa the daughter of Ivan and Geneva (Blackburn) Stufflebeam. She grew up near Omaha, Nebraska. Deb has been a resident of Washington for the past 20 years.
Deb was employed at WCDC where she stuffed envelopes. She was a member of the Friday Night Club. Deb was known for her bright smile and her wonderful crafts. She was a friend to all and never had an unkind word to say. She enjoyed country music.
She is survived by her mother, Geneva Belger of Des Moines, Iowa; brother, Leo Maxwell of Des Moines, Iowa; brother, Clint Stufflebeam of Des Moines, Iowa; brother, Kenny Stufflebeam and wife Connie of Benton, Kentucky; sister, Kelly Hendricks and husband Todd of Milo, Iowa; as well as several nieces, nephews, four great-nephews, and one great-niece. She is also survived by her uncle, Bert Wallis and wife Beverly of Des Moines, Iowa; aunt, Sue Maxwell of Des Moines; friends, Lela Capper of Washington, Iowa and Pat Cody of Washington, Iowa; and her many friends at Systems Unlimited, REM, and WCDC.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ivan Stufflebeam; uncle, Raymond Maxwell; nephew, Bobby Lee; and grandparents, Bob and Sylvia Maxwell.
