Daniel E. Rohrberg, age 61, of Washington, Iowa, died unexpectedly on July 18, 2019 at his home.
Daniel was born in Indiana on November 11, 1957 to Donald and Dororthy (Dunn) Rohrberg. He grew up in El Paso, Illinois, but moved to Colorado and then settled in Washington, Iowa. He worked as a Food Inspector for the USDA until his retirement in 2012.
Daniel had a passion for engines, and loved his motorcycles most of all. He took many bike trips across the country, attending Sturgis multiple times and even traveled to the Arctic Circle. "Doc," to his friends, he was known for his ornery sense of humor and his love of Rock and Roll.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald and his mother, Dorothy. He is survived by his sister, Dana (Mike) Bray, his niece, Allison (Eric) McDaniel, his Aunt Sally (Chuck) Blanchard, and many beloved cousins including Madeline (Bill) VanKeuren, Karl "Bob" Rohrberg, Mary Beth Lugar, and Greg (Joan) Powell.
A celebration of life will take place in Washington at a future date. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
