Craig A. Glandon, age 62, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospital following a short illness.
Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Cluney officiating. Visitation will begin noon Tuesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Tuesday evening. Craig was born February 1, 1951 in Washington, Iowa the son of Marvin R. and Lois A. (Garrett) Glandon. He attended school in Washington, Iowa and graduated from Washington High School in 1970. Craig was a lifetime resident of Washington, Iowa.
He worked at McCleery Cumming Company in Washington, Iowa and worked area Flea Markets and Coin Shows. He was later employed at A.C.T. in Iowa City, Iowa. Craig attended the First Assembly of God Church in Washington, Iowa. He was an animal lover and enjoyed going for walks with his sister and nephew, Cody. Craig was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching all sports but especially enjoyed following St. Louis Cardinals baseball. He had a passion for collecting baseball cards and collectible coins.
Craig is survived by his sister, Karen Hahn and husband Ron of Washington, Iowa; nephew, Cody Hahn of Washington, Iowa; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1991 and his mother in 2005.
