Concepcion Antonio Solorzano, age 42, of Wayland, Iowa died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospital following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, March 23rd at the Washington Mennonite Church with Pastors Ramiro and Martha Hernandez officiating. Visitation will begin noon Tuesday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 Tuesday evening. A general memorial has been established. Concepcion was born September 14, 1968 in Puebla, Mexico the daughter of Jorge Antonio Gomez and Yolanda Solorzano.

Concepcion was a member of the Iglesia Centro Christiano. She enjoyed coloring, painting her nails, cooking and playing with her niece.

She is survived by her mother Yolanda Solorzano of Wayland, Iowa; father Jorge Gomez of Chiapas, Mexico; brother Jorge Solorzano of Wayland, Iowa; sister Cinthia Solorzano of Wayland, Iowa; sister Adrianna Solorzano of Chiapas, Mexico; one nephew and five nieces.
