Colette Ann Prybil, age 55, of Washington, Iowa, died Saturday, May 7, 2022, of natural causes.

Colette was born November 8, 1966, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Carl Prybil Jr. and Maralyne (Gilliand) Prybil. She graduated from Highland High School in 1985.
Colette lived in Ainsworth, Iowa, prior to moving to Washington in 2017. She worked at the University of Iowa in the Operating Room for eight years and provided private in home health care for several years. Colette loved kids, the elderly, fishing, mushrooming and Boston Terriers.
She is survived by her mom, Maralyne Shepherd and husband Tom of Washington, Iowa; grandmother, Patricia Prybil of Iowa City, Iowa; aunt, Georgia Gilliand of Washington, Iowa; aunt, Nancy Gilliand of Hot Springs, Arkansas; uncles, Don Prybil, Tom Prybil and Steve Prybil, all of Riverside, Iowa; special step sister, Tonya Campbell of Dayton, Iowa; and many cousins.
Colette was preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, Harold and Florence Gilliand; uncle, Boyd Gilliand; paternal grandfather, Carl Prybil Sr; two uncles, Jerry and Jim Prybil; cousin, David Krauel; and step father, Terry Moody.
