Cleo M. Mann, age 87, of Washington, Iowa died Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Washington County Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7th at the Hillside Cemetery in St. Charles, Minnesota with Rev. Heather Klason officiating. Visitation will be held at the Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday April 6th. Interment will take place at the Hillside Cemetery in St. Charles, Minnesota. Cleo was born June 12, 1923 in Winona, Minnesota the daughter of Loy and Lillian (Hollenbeck) Cole. She graduated from St. Charles High School and later graduated from Winona State College in Winona, Minnesota. On April 21, 1949, Cleo was united in marriage to Francis G. Mann in Missouri.
Cleo has lived in Washington, Iowa since 1959. She taught school in Minnesota for six years and was employed at McCleery Cumming Company in Washington, Iowa as a bookkeeper and auditor. Cleo was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Greenfield, Iowa for several years. She enjoyed animals, cooking and baking.
Cleo is survived by her nieces and nephew, Alayne Berkins of Tampa, Florida; Madelyn Tarter of Vacaville, California; and Lance Cole of Plymouth, Minnesota
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2010 and one brother.
