Claudia Marie Hunter, age 71, of New London, Iowa, died Thursday, April 11, 2013 at her residence following a lengthy illness.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Garrett Cemetery in Delta, Iowa. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Garrett Cemetery. A general memorial has been established. Claudia was born September 18, 1941. She was united in marriage to Walter Raymond Baker.

Claudia worked as a medical aid in nursing homes until her retirement in 2006. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and doing puzzle books.

Claudia is survived by her daughter, Kathy Baker of New London, Iowa; daughter, Karen Tucker of Solon, Iowa; daughter, Linda Smith of Oxford, Iowa; son, Wayne "Red" Baker of New Sharon, Iowa; son, Bobby Baker of Minnesota; son, David Baker of Iowa City, Iowa; twenty-eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Paul Steven Baker; two brothers: Edward and Charles Hunter; and two sisters: Joyce Post and Dorothy Graves.
