Christine Marie "Chris" Kuntz, age 48, of Keota, Iowa formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospital following a sudden illness.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 19th at the Prairie Flower Baptist Church with Pastor Don Collings officiating. Visitation will begin 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the Prairie Flower Baptist Church where the family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 Saturday morning. Private family interment will take place at a later date. Memorials have been established for her son Cody's education fund or a general memorial. Chris was born September 25, 1963 in Burlington, Iowa the daughter of Norman and Susan (Harper) Snyder. She attended school in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1982. She was united in marriage to Tony Kuntz in 1992 in Brighton, Iowa, they were later divorced.

Chris lived most of her adult life in Washington, Iowa prior to moving to Keota four years ago. She worked at County Line Mart in Keota and previously worked at Batterson Photography for 17 years. She was currently attending Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. Chris attended Prairie Flower Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she dearly loved.

She is survived by her daughter Amanda Anderson and husband Nathan of Keota, Iowa; son Cody Kuntz of Keota, Iowa; four grandchildren; mother Susan Snyder of Richland, Iowa; brother Scott Snyder and wife Shawn of Boone, Iowa; sister Becky Hoover and husband Jerry of Richland, Iowa; sister Connie Snyder of Grimes, Iowa; sister Joann Johnson and husband Harold of Greeneville, Tennessee; brother Mike Snyder and wife Chrissy of South Dakota; grandmother Anice Heston of Tipton, Iowa; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Chris was preceded in death by her father in 2005.
