Chris L. Colliver, age 65, of Washington, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at his residence under hospice care, following a lengthy illness.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at West Chester Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Chris was born on September 22, 1959, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Dwight and Edna (Renoux) Colliver. He graduated from Mid-Prairie High School in 1978.
Chris spent most of his life in the West Chester area, where he worked as a farmer and truck driver. He enjoyed car racing, mud runs in his truck, and participating in tractor pulls. Chris also loved to ride his motorcycle and was a proud member of A.B.A.T.E. of Iowa. He liked to go rock hunting and had an arrowhead collection. He also loved taking care of his dogs.
He is survived by his sister, Cindy Gonterman of Washington, Iowa; nephew, Don (Sheri) Miksch of Washington, Iowa; niece, Stephanie Miksch of Denver, Colorado; great-nieces, Taylor and Kinley Miksch; and uncle, Hal Colliver of West Chester, Iowa.
Chris was preceded in death by parents, Dwight and Edna Colliver, and his brother-in-law, Dale Gonterman.
