Charlotte McKeone, age 47, of Iowa City died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the University of Iowa Hospital following a short illness.

Celebration of life service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 21st at the Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Dan McClure officiating. Visitation will begin at noon on Thursday, May 20th at the Jones Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa. Memorials have been established for Goodwill Industries. Charlotte was born January 5, 1963 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Sheryl (Hunsaker) McKeone. She graduated from Washington High School in 1981.

Charlotte worked at Goodwill in Iowa City for many years. She was a caregiver for friends and family and enjoyed fishing .

Charlotte is survived by her father Thomas McKeone and wife, Cathy of Washington, Iowa; sister Candace Moore and husband Ken Yoder of Coralville, Iowa; sister Carla Robertson and husband Ron of Washington, Iowa; brother Tom McKeone and wife Alexandra of Austin, Texas; and brother James McKeone and wife Medea of Iowa City, Iowa. She is also survived by her uncle, James Hunsaker III and wife Mary Ellen of Washington and seven nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mom, Sheryl in 2000 and one brother Michael in 1996 and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
