Brian Lee Humston, age 48, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospital following a sudden illness.

Brian was born August 22, 1972 in Washington, Iowa, the son of Don Hesseltine and Donna Stewart. He attended Washington High School and Kirkwood Community College. Brian was united in marriage to Tonya Myers on October 31, 1997 in Washington.
Brian worked for the McCleery Cummings Calendar Factory, Modine Manufacturing Company and IBC. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, antiquing and puzzles.
He is survived by his daughters: Catrina (Collin) Cooper of Wellman, IA; Mikayla Humston of Ames, IA; and Alexandra Humston (Duncan McCain) of Iowa City, IA; little buddy, Edward Sinn; granddaughters: Blakely, Payven and Aspyn Cooper; mother, Donna (G.W.) Jones of Washington, IA; father, Don Hesseltine of Keota, IA; siblings: Lori (Paul) Schultz of West Chester, IA; Angi Hesseltine of Keota, IA; Robert (Rose) Fisher of Sigourney, IA; and Julie Hutson of Wester Chester, IA; nephews: Coty Schultz (Dosha) of Rubio IA and their daughter, Jaelynn; and Justin Schultz of Wellman, IA and his son, Kinnick; nieces: Jodi Schultz of Keota, IA; and Kylea Tinnes (Dalton) of Keota, IA and their daughter, Scotlynn.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Malloy; grandfather, Charlie Turner; and brother, Scotty Fisher.
