Brenda Lynn Brock, age 56, of Washington, Iowa, passed Thursday, December 13, 2012 at her residence after a sudden illness.

Private family memorial services and interment will take place at a later date. Visitation will begin noon Monday, December 17, 2012 at the Jones Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday evening. A general memorial fund has been established. The family would appreciate any photos of Brenda that you would be willing to share. Brenda was born October 17, 1956 in Washington, Iowa the daughter of Lyle W. Brock, Sr. and Dolores (Tremmel) Brock. She attended school in Washington, Iowa.

Brenda had been a resident of Washington for most of her life. She worked at the McCleery-Cumming Calendar Factory and the Eagle's Nest in Coppock, Iowa. She enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Brenda was proud to have lived her life the way she wanted to.

Brenda is survived by her son, Ardie Brock of Washington, Iowa; three grandchildren: Bradley, Blake, and Libby Brock; brother Al Brock and wife Ruth of Washington, Iowa; brother Lyle Brock, Jr. and wife Lisa of Washington, Iowa; brother Randy Brock and wife Kristi of Trenton, Iowa; brother Lonnie Brock of Wilton, Iowa; and sister Jody Adler and husband Richard of Brighton, Iowa; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, Ardie Brock and her sister-in-law Alice Brock.
