Robert L. "Bob" Greiner, age 80, of Washington, Iowa, died Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Halcyon House in Washington, Iowa.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Bernie Weir and Fr. Charles Fladung officiating. Calling hours will begin 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church where the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Prayer services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. James Church. Interment will take place at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Mary's Cemetery in Keota, Iowa. Memorials have been established for St. James Catholic Church or Hospice of Washington County. Bob was born December 24, 1937, in Keokuk County, Iowa, the son of Robert F. and Rosa F. (Adam) Greiner. He attended school in Keota, Iowa, graduating from Keota High School in 1956. Bob was united in marriage to Frances Kay Peiffer on November 28, 1959, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington.

Bob was a crop and livestock farmer in rural Keota, Iowa, all of his life. He moved to Washington, Iowa, in 2014. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Keota and attended St. James Catholic Church in Washington for the past four years. For 14 consecutive years, Bob rode the entire route of RAGBRAI. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Kay Greiner of Washington, IA; four daughters: Lori (Jamey Toman) Yoder of Cedar Rapids, IA; Brenda (Kevin) Flynn of Wellman, IA; Angela (Dennis) Friese of Washington, IA; and Jennifer (Marlow) Yoder of Kalona, IA; 10 grandchildren: Derek (Abbie) Yoder, Andrea (Chris) Hahn, Courtney (Matt) Gent, Megan (Jason) Gienger, Dillon Flynn, Tyler (Staci) Friese, Natalie (Justin) Horesowsky, Travis Friese, Aidan Yoder and Malia Yoder. 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Hammes and husband Norbert of Fairfield, IA; and sister, Dorothy Weber of Washington, IA.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sr. Madeline Greiner; brother, Edward Greiner and his wife Kathryn; sister, Marjorie McMains and her husband Robert; and brother-in-law, Luke Weber.
