Beatrix Jean Miksch, age 90, of Washington, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Halcyon House in Washington following a decline in health.
A graveside service will be held at Grace Hill Cemetery in rural Washington at a later date. Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Jean was born November 18, 1926 in Louisa County, Iowa, the daughter of John B. and Geneveve B. Jones. She graduated from Cotter High School. Jean was united in marriage to David Miksch on August 5, 1980 at the United Methodist Church in Washington, Iowa.
Jean was a member of the Cotter United Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School, and participated in Christian Endeavor meetings. She was also a member of the Washington YWCA.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on December 8, 1988; two brothers: Darold and Russel Jones; and two sisters: Freeda Boynton and Marie Duncan.
