Beatrice Irene Goodall, age 73, of Angleton, Texas, formerly of Washington, Iowa died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the West Houston Medical Center, Houston, TX.
Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Washington with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been established for the Relay for Life (Cancer) and the American Heart Association. Beatrice was born December 13, 1938 in Washington, Iowa the daughter of Clyde M. and Pearl Irene (Blick) Tucker. She grew up in the Wayland community where she attended school. Beatrice later received training in nursing from Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" A. Goodall on November 25, 1995 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Beatrice had lived in Illinois, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Nebraska prior to moving to Texas to be close to her family.
Beatrice worked as a registered nurse at Willow Crest Hospital in Miami, Oklahoma until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington, Iowa. Bea was an avid reader and especially enjoyed the works of Danielle Steel.
She is survived by her husband, Dick; daughter, Sherri Mahurin and husband Jeff of Miami, Oklahoma; son, David Vesely and wife Brenda of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents.
