Barbara Ann (Minick) Stewart, age 82, of Gladwin, Iowa, passed away at the farm on Saturday, June 14, 2025, surrounded by family.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at the Boston Bluff Cemetery in rural Louisa County. Memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County or St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Columbus Junction. Online condolences may be sent for Barb's family at www.jonesfh.com . Barb was born November 6, 1942, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Bertha (Benda) Minick. She graduated from Washington High School in 1960 and attended the Iowa City Commercial College. Barb was united in marriage to Donald Stewart on November 23, 1966, in Kahoka, Missouri.

Barb was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Columbus Junction, Iowa. She worked as a Librarian in Columbus Junction for 12 years and later worked for Dr. Heather Heddens for 16 years.

She is survived by son, Michael Stewart and wife De ann of Cedar Falls, Iowa; son Stephen Coon and wife Kathy of Columbus Junction, Iowa; daughter, Christine Hamilton of Washington, Iowa; son, Thomas Stewart and wife Traci of Columbus Junction, Iowa; daughter, Elizabeth "Betsy" Stalder and husband Matt of Washington, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; brother, Jim Minick and wife Kathy of Peoria, Illinois; and brother Joe Minick and wife Connie of Muscatine, Iowa.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents; husband in May of 2025; son-in-law, Tony Hamilton; and sister, Mary Ruth Biller.
