Barbara Ann Schultz, age 77, of Iowa City, Iowa formerly of West Chester, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 in Iowa City following a sudden illness.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation will begin noon Thursday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 Thursday evening. Interment will take place at the West Chester Cemetery. Memorials have been established for the Neurology Clinic at the University of Iowa Hospital. Barb was born April 3, 1936 in Providence, Rhode Island the daughter of Paul and Lynn (Prout) Barker. She graduated from high school in Freemont, Iowa. Barb was united in marriage to J. Robert "Bob" Schultz on December 3, 1952. She and Bob lived in Aledo, Texas for twenty-five years. They managed a park at Lake Worth, Texas.

Barb was a homemaker until 1973, when she began working as a cook at the West Chester School. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. She enjoyed reading, ceramics, and riding motorcycles. She loved being with her family.

She is survived by daughter, Cathy Bolton of Iowa City, Iowa; son, Richard Schultz and wife Myra of Waterloo, Iowa; son, Paul Schultz and wife Lori of West Chester, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bob in 2004.
