Barbara Ann Hole, age 55, of Iowa City, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 11, 2017.

Barb was born March 3, 1962 in South Carolina, the daughter of Nathan Arthur and Mary Theresa (Kopistecki) Sayre. She attended school in Mid Prairie and graduated from Washington County High School in 1980. In 1984, she graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College. Barb was united in marriage to Brian Eric Hole on December 3, 1984 in Washington, Iowa.
Barb worked in health care for over 25 years in various areas of Iowa and Texas. She loved to help others which made her an outstanding nurse and home health aide. She attended St. James Catholic Church and recently Faith Baptist Church in Iowa City. Barb enjoyed nature and gardening, and was an avid reader. She loved collecting jewelry and other items, passing them forward to family and friends. Her greatest love in life though, was her family.
She is survived by her husband, Brian Hole of Iowa City, IA; daughter, Brianna Hole of Kalona, IA; grandson, Clayton Hole; mother, Mary Sayre of West Chester, IA; and father, Nathan (Marie) Sayre of Dolan Springs, AZ; siblings: Luetta (Joel) Greene of Crawfordsville, IA; Deborah (Terrell) Hunter of Washington, IA; Nathan Sayre, Jr. of AZ; and Theresa Sayre (Roger Hyndman) of Washington, IA; step-siblings: Jeff (Lucy) Leeper of Las Vegas, NV; Anetia (Dale) Woodsmall) of Washington, IA; and Pam (Steve) Roth of Richmond, TX: and many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews.
Barb was preceded in death by her grandparents: Dorothy and Howard Sayre and Mary and Ignatius Kopistecki; and one uncle, Jerry Sayre.
