Antonia "Butterfly" Holt, age 65, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.

The family will host a celebration of Antonia's life on Sunday, June 6, 2021 in Iowa City. Please contact the family for details. Additional services will be held in Chicago, Illinois at a later date. Interment will be private. A general memorial has been established. Antonia was born October 27, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Sunny and Nadine Holt. She attended Marshall High School in Illinois. Antonia was united in marriage to Peter Adams in 1974.

Antonia was a proud and loving full-time mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, music and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children: Peter Adams (Shelia Taylor), Maurice Adams (Michelle Crockett), Sonya Adams (Darrin Hershberger), and Jermaine Adams (BJ Adams); God-children: Von Dutch, Cedric Johnson, Darryl Johnson, Andre Holt, Roderick Brown, Christopher Holt, Elijah Gardener and Elijah Brown; 28 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings: James Holt, Jr. Delfonia Holt, Diane Holt and Lisa Holt; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Charles Brown; uncle, Charles Holt; aunt, Netkarma Holt; and cousin, Emma.
