Anne Catherine Dean, age 64, of Brighton, Iowa, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at her residence after a battle with cancer.

Celebration of life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Father Troy Richmond officiating. Visitation will begin 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. Anne's remains will be donated to the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Interment will take place at a later date. A memorial has been established for Iowa Basset Hound Rescue. Anne was born September 25, 1948 in Iowa City, Iowa to Gerald R. "Knute" and Eunice (Andrlik) Dean. She graduated from Iowa City High School in 1966. She later graduated from the University College of Cosmetology in 1968. She was united in marriage to Kenneth C. Luckey on February 21, 1992 in Coralville, Iowa.

Anne worked as a cosmetologist for ten years in the Iowa City and Coralville areas. In 1985, she began work as a mail clerk at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics until her retirement in 2010.

Anne was active in the Iowa Basset Hound Rescue until her death. She also enjoyed reading.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth C. Luckey; sister Geralyn Lenoch and husband Steve of Coralville, Iowa; and two nephews: Thomas E. Lenoch and Christopher Lenoch, both of Iowa City, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
