Angela Rose Beggs, age 57, of Washington, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital following a sudden illness.

A celebration of Angela’s life will be held at Optimae LifeServices in Washington on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. There will be a celebration of life service held at a later date in Arlington, Texas. Angela was born July 20, 1969, in Ft. Worth, Texas, the daughter of Raymon and Elvira (Singleterry) Beggs. She graduated from Brewer High School, in White Settlement, Texas, in 1988. Angela lived most of her life in Texas prior to moving to Washington, Iowa, in 2010.

She worked for WCDC in Washington where she was a Direct Service Provider and managed a group home. She enjoyed being active with her friends and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, painting, cake decorating, and going to musicals. Angela was a natural caregiver and loved taking care of her family and WCDC family. Her last act of giving came following her death as she was an organ and tissue donor.

She is survived by her sister, Janet (Scott) Banning of Nashville, Tennessee; sister, Evelyn (Daniel) Baggesse of Arlington, Texas; five nieces and two nephews; two stepdaughters; and nine grandchildren.

Angela was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Donald, Kenneth and Melvin Beggs.
