Alma Marie Kiene, age 83, of Fresno, California, formerly of Washington, Iowa and Rogers, Arkansas, died Thursday, August 9, 2012 in Fresno.

Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Bethel Cemetery near Wapello, Iowa. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home prior to the service. A memorial has been established to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Alma was born July 2, 1929 in Wapello, Iowa the daughter of Sam and Fern (Barrick) Deihl. She graduated from Wapello High School and continued her education at the American Institute of Business in Davenport. Alma was united in marriage to Elmer Kiene on August 11, 1954.

Alma is survived by her sister Frances Blankenhorn of Mesa, Arizona, son Matt Kiene and wife Kathy of Fresno, California; son Mike Kiene and wife Karen of Neosho, Missouri; son Allen Kiene and wife Vivian of Broomfield, Colorado, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Faye, Irving and Everett and husband Elmer who died in 2007.
