Alice Marie Martin, age 85, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at her residence in Washington, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Erin Kaye officiating. The family will be present to receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Indian Creek Cemetery in rural Columbus Junction, Iowa. Alice was born February 22, 1940, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Denia (Krantz) Martin. She attended school in Ainsworth, Iowa, and graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1958.

Alice lived in Iowa most of her life and has lived in Washington since 1999. She worked at the Washington Care Center for many years. Alice had been attending the United Presbyterian Church in Washington.

She is survived by her sisters, Judy (Doug) Snider of Leesburg, Alabama; and Sheri (Gary) Herlein of Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers: Glen, Jimmie, Tom and John Martin.
