Adam Michael Dunbar, age 31, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Celebration of life services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with services conducted by Jim Mittler. The family will be present to receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Interment will take place at the Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth, Iowa. Adam was born September 28, 1983, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Lori Dunbar. Adam graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. He was a resident of Park Place Nursing Home at the Henry County Health Center for more than ten years.
Adam was the inspiration and the need for Fritz's Medical Supplies. Following a serious illness Adam had while he was in first grade, Fritz's Medical Supplies was created. Adam was a brave hero and an inspiration for those with special needs. He had a good, kind, hearty laugh and a great sense of humor. Adam loved his family and friends and was generous and empathetic with others. He loved cuddling with his calico kitty.
Adam is survived by his mom, Lori Fritz of Washington, Iowa; younger brother, Joseph "Joey" Fritz of Washington, Iowa; grandparents Rollie and Kathy Dunbar of Moline, Illinois; aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents; aunt, Jane Ellen Dunbar; and step father, Michael Fritz.
