Thomas Duane Martin, age 81, of Washington, Iowa, died Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the Washington County Hospital following a short illness. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Calling hours will begin 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Indian Creek Cemetery in rural Columbus Junction, Iowa. Memorials have been established for WCDC. Tom lived in Glenwood, Iowa, from 1957 until 1989 when he and his brother, John, returned to Washington. Tom lived at Orchard Hill until 1999 when he moved to Woodridge Apartments. Tom enjoyed being around people and loved to draw. He is survived by his sister, Alice Martin of Washington, Iowa; sister, Sheri Herlein of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sister, Judy Snider of Leesburg, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers: Glen, Jimmy and John.
