Michael Joseph “Mike” Liebe, age 51, of Stuart, Florida, formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Calling hours will begin noon Tuesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa. A general memorial has been established. Online condolences may be sent for Mike’s family through the web at www.jonesfh.com Mike was born November 11, 1966, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Ward and Constance Ann “Connie” (Pieper) Liebe. He attended school in Washington, Iowa, graduating from Washington High School in 1985. Mike graduated from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was married to Sharon Roberts on November 11, 1989, in Omaha, Nebraska. They later divorced. Mike has lived in Omaha, NE; Lexington, KY; Boca Raton, FL; and most recently in Stuart, FL. He worked for Electrolux as a Sales Manager and was currently working for Beltone Hearing Aids. He also helped his wife Sharon with sales of Mary Kay Products. He enjoyed College and NFL Football and was an avid Los Angeles Rams fan. Mike was an avid bike rider and enjoyed the outdoors, especially landscaping. He loved getting together with family and friends where he was often found behind the grill and was always the entertainer. He is survived by his mom, Connie A. Bauer and husband Stan of Washington, IA; six siblings: Jeff Liebe and wife Sandra of Paris, IL; Cherie Murphy of Virginia Beach, VA; Steve Liebe and wife Barb of Washington, Iowa; Randy Liebe and wife Jacque of Fairfield, IA; Michelle Sides and husband Derrick of Fruitland, IA; Patti Roth of Washington, IA; ten nieces and nephews and one great niece and one great nephew. He is also survived by one step- sister, Sheryl Shewman and husband Dan of Centennial, CO; his former wife, Sharon Liebe of Boynton Beach, FL; and step-son, Nathan Roberts and wife Hannah of Kansas City, MO. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Ward Liebe in 1974; daughter, Alexis Liebe in 2016; and step-sister, Sherry Bauer, in 1987.
