John Francis Eagle, age 63, of Delafield, Wisconsin, formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, following a brief fight with cancer.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. David Brownfield officiating. Calling hours will begin 4:00 p.m. Monday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Prayer services will be held 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. John was born December 7, 1950, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Clem and Katherine (Henry) Eagle. He attended school in Washington, Iowa and graduated from Washington High School. John was united in marriage to Deanna Creamer on March 20, 1986, in Washington, Iowa.

John loved being outdoors and was a farmer most of his life. He was a very hard working man and if you wanted a job done, you could always turn to John. He and Dee recently sold their farm and moved to Wisconsin to be near their daughter and grandchildren. Lucas and Ella brought a sparkle to Grandpa John's eyes that will not be forgotten. John was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Dee of Delafield, Wisconsin; son, Shannon Eagle of Wayland, Iowa; daughter, Megan (Sean) Eaton of Waukesha, Wisconsin; grandchildren Bodhi Eagle, Lucas Eaton and Ella Eaton; step children: Michelle (Brad) Thomason of Marion, Iowa; Racheal (Jody) Kleiber of Oxford, Ohio; Bob Creamer of Ainsworth, Iowa; step-grandchildren Avery and Erin Thomason; Stephanie, Brittany and Jacob Creamer and two step great-grandchildren, Rylan and Brooklyn Taylor. John is also survived by three sisters, Mary (Ed) Pulido of Davenport, Iowa; Sue (Chuck) Holcomb of Johnston, Iowa; Paulette (Everett) Jones of Bettendorf, Iowa; two brothers, Steve (Fran) Eagle of Washington, Iowa; Joe (Jeane) Eagle of Marion, Iowa; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
